About Jacques Malan

I have been helping people from all walks of life make big (and smaller) financial decisions with confidence and peace of mind for over 25 years.

I am proud to be the first Freshwater Wealth Partner in Western Australia.

Philosophy

My personal philosophy for my work is to ask: “what would I have wanted for my own parents and family” and then provide that quality of advice and service to my clients. Every client is someone that I have a personal relationship with and who I genuinely care about. I don’t just give recommendations. I also go on the journey alongside my clients so that together, we achieve your goals.

A gift that I have is that I can simplify complex financial matters and explain them to clients in a way that is easy to understand. You’ll see this reflected in actual client reviews where it is mentioned frequently.

My Approach

I am measured in my approach, and I like to take the time to consider all the options before formulating a strategy. Each client’s strategy is uniquely designed for their situation and needs, drawing on the best resources and product providers available to us. But I always try to get to the best outcomes in the simplest and most cost-effective way.

I have a calm, personable and conscientious personality and I believe you will find me easy to work with.

Personal

In my personal life, I like spending time with my two adult daughters, and I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, golf and umpiring in WA premier cricket.

Education

My professional credentials are:
• 25+ years’ experience.
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) accreditation.
• Membership with the Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA).
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Business and Finance.
• Several other financial advice related qualifications.
